Toys for Tickets Makes a Triumphant Return

January 03, 2023

Deck the (City) Halls!

The City of Red Deer’s annual Toys for Tickets campaign returned in 2023 to it’s original format, resulting in a mountain of gifts for local children in need. This year, 56 toys were donated equating to a donation of $3,845 for the Red Deer Christmas Bureau!

For the last two seasons, The City of Red Deer has donated a portion of the parking revenue directly to the Red Deer Christmas Bureau. This is the first year the campaign has returned to the original toy donation format, where it was welcomed with warm hearts and open arms by staff and volunteers.

The Toys for Tickets campaign is an annual initiative that allows City parking ticket holders to pay with a toy (of equal or greater value to the ticket amount) leading up to Christmas. Toys are donated to the Red Deer Christmas Bureau for distribution to local families with children up to age 17. To find out more information about the program, visit reddeer.ca/toysfortickets.
