Every summer has its own stories

Wendy Vines had heard about the Blue Grass Sod Farm Central Spray and Play but it wasn’t until her daughter and granddaughter visited last summer that she experienced the park herself.
“I kept hearing how much my neighbours and friends enjoyed it there so when my daughter and granddaughter were coming to Red Deer to visit, I thought we should pack up and see what the fuss was about.” said Wendy.
“We were really impressed with the park,” said Paige Miller, Wendy’s daughter, “I wasn’t expecting it to be as big as it was. The park was clean, colourful, and really interactive. There was an awesome variety of places to play that accommodated both younger and older kids. The place was busy with families and camps both times we were there.”
Mother and daughter appreciated that one-year-old Stevie, was safely able to explore and play while they got to sit close by and catch up.
“The amount of people who were there that day was almost perfect. It wasn’t too crowded so there was lots of green space to pull out a blanket and we could watch Stevie wherever she went,” said Wendy, “We all felt safe and had a lot of fun.”
They had so much fun, in fact, that the next time Paige and her family came to Red Deer the whole family went for a day.
“We packed up everyone and off we went. We had a great day and made some wonderful memories,” said Wendy, “I love that Red Deer has a space like this downtown. There is a lot of green space and tonnes of activities for the kids. The washrooms are right there and everything was clean and well kept.”
Paige enjoyed that with just a little planning and preparation, her family could spend a day together without breaking the bank.
“The spray park was a fun, inexpensive summer activity,” she said, “We made some great summer memories! I liked that you could make a day of it by bringing some snacks and a beach blanket to relax on. We will definitely be back next summer.”
