COVID-19: How You Can Help

April 10, 2020

Red Deerians have been reaching out, asking how they can support their friends, neighbours, co-workers and fellow citizens who might be struggling as we navigate COVID-19.

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’ To this day… I remember my mother’s words and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many caring people in this world.”

Red Deerians have been reaching out, asking how they can support their friends, neighbours, co-workers and fellow citizens who might be struggling as we navigate COVID-19. We are very appreciative, but certainly not surprised by your willingness to step up and help during this challenging time.

Whether you have protective gear to donate, can take on a volunteer shift, make a financial donation, or simply do a favour for a neighbour - every little bit helps!

We’ve posted a list on our website, of some of the ways residents can support their neighbours and the community. There is information about how to make food, equipment or financial donations, ways to get involved as a volunteer, and resources for those who need a helping hand.
